From Live At 20,000 Volts : Oct 25th, 1997 : Tokyo, Japan

A little over a month ago, psychedelic music lost an incredibly important and underrated musician. Bassist Yasushi Ozawa (look here) passed away of lung cancer. As a bassist for one of my favorite incarnations of the mystic/psychedelic rock band, Fushitsusha, I’ve listened to his low notes countless times and marveled at the communications going on between the musicians in the group.
As well as playing with bass in Fushitusha, he also played with the East Bionic Symphonia and was a sound engineer. For those who know his music, this concert, played at 20,000 Volts, is an explosive one. For those who want more info, check out this fantastic interview that originally appeared in G-Modern (look here).

p.s. For those that care, I’m going to start including an MD5 checksum with the MP3 files. md5summer (look here) is a good program for windows machines. For Apple users, you might try MD5.app (look here). As I don’t have an Apple machine, I don’t know if this works well.
Also, it’s not absolutely vital that you use the MD5, but sometimes it’s nice to have the peace of mind that what you downloaded is what I uploaded.
So, here’s the checksum (look here) for the MP3’s of this concert, as I forgot to include them.

Desperately sad news. Seeing Fushitsusha live for the first time reset my perceptions of time and volume and rigour in music. Like standing under Niagara Falls for three hours, it should kill you, but you might just end up with very clean bruises.
Thank you for posting these and for the continuing quality of your page.

Yeah. one of my big regrets is not being able to see Fushitsusha (especially the power trio version) live. they must’ve put on an amazing show.
