I almost convinced myself that all the documentation on the web and on recordings was all one big hoax. But soon, very soon, I shall hear him in all his glory. Almost a year to the date of the first cancellation, Jandek is coming back, or rather finally coming, to Chicago. And according to the website, he’s playing a special two hour opening set! Wahoo!! Luckily, his records only cost $7 or $8 a piece. Not too expensive. But definitely give the Guide to Jandek a quick read through, there're some great suggestions there. Having said all that, I can recommend the Glasgow Sunday album. It's a recording of his first live performance. He's got a sympathetic rythym secion to work with and the playing is absolutely superb. Anon - Yeah, there're no chimneys in my apt. So, I'm guessing it's some portal put there by the government or the aliens.
