unfortunately, the animal collective that I posted is not available. That's really too bad that they don't play North Carolina...they really put on an incredible show. But shoot me an email - i may be able to help you out.

dammit, man i wish i had broadband, DSL, or anything other than dial-up because ALL of the posts recently would make a KILLER mix disc. you wouldnt believe how long it wanted to take to grab the William Parker songs.

one question: Animal Collective... is that a live album that i could find in a store (sometime soon?) or is it an unofficial boot? unfortunately, they dont seem to like North Carolina very much (and neither do i) so lord knows when i'll have the chance to catch 'em. ("Here Comes the Indian", on vinyl, thru headphones, late night, chilly winds, girlfriend gone, home alone, slightly stoned = terrifying and wonderful)

this is by far one of the best blogs out there. keep up the great work.

oh yeah.

sublime frequencies is an excellent label. my only real gripe with them is that they provide little to no info about the tracks/music that they're presenting. Otherwise, they have tons of top notch music.

And the Cambodian Rocks releases are something that I've been meaning to check out. They look like they're full of wild rock 'n' roll sounds...

yeah! these are great! i've seen this at stores but wasn't sure if the content was warped enough for purchase. after listening to "your cheating heart" i feel confident that it is. not sure if you know about the increasing volumes of s.e. asian recordings that <a href="www.sublimefrequencies.com">sublime frequencies</a> are putting out but there's quite a range there and every release is brilliant. and there's also the classic <a=href"http://ez9.ez-web-hosting.com/~cambodia/product_info.php?products_id=28">cambodian rocks</a> compilations which are also mind-blowingly good. alright!
